Mobile Fire Groups are also deployed by the maneuver brigades of the UAF (including TDF) and of the National Guard (though they mostly equipped with Browning M2s or KPVs mounted on pick-up trucks or ZU-23s). Gepards were seen in use by the Anti-Aircraft Defense Missile Artillery Battalion of the Separate Presidential Brigade, which defends the skies around Kyiv, and in the past have also been seen in use by the 25th Airborne Brigade; they are almost always deployed in the rear defending major urban centers or strategic infrastructure. They are most likely in use by the separate air defense units under the Ground Forces too.

As far as I know, Italy is not very interested in developing solutions with South Korea for such big and expensive projects, as priority is given to collaboration with other major EU countries + the UK. Some time ago there were even rumors about the possibility of adopting a heavily Italianized version of the Merkava, but nothing came out of that, for several reasons. Working with partners like Germany can be a springboard for increasing long-term industrial and military relations in a European context, with a horizon of the next decades. Also, the pledged technology transfers from South Korea to Poland as well as the adoption of domestic solutions (in regards to the K2PL, for instance) may not be satisfactory to Italy.

And you are absolutely right about the last part - Italy’s procurement priorities are different from those of e.g. Poland, and while the Italian Army does indeed need new vehicles as soon as possible, domestic production (which is also very useful regarding the acceptance by the public opinion) and the retention of domestic know-how are considered more important. Generally the domestic industry is always favored - if Italy looks abroad for something it’s because part of the know-how has been lost (as happened with tracked vehicles, as Italy has been concentrating only on wheeled vehicles since the late ’90s) and developing an entirely domestic solution would be too long, costly and with uncertain results, but at the same time it’s almost impossible for Italy to buy tanks or IFVs (sectors where entirely domestic solutions had been developed in the past) produced abroad and/or without the possibility of heavy customization, even at the cost of accepting longer delivery times.
